Wies’n Time Again?

Münchner Spielwies’n

The 16th annual Münchner Spielwies’n brings playtime to the masses from November 2 to 4 at the M.O.C in Munich-Freimann (U6 to the Kieferngarten stop). Close to 100 exhibitors offer computer, board and card games in Halls 1 and 2. Highlights include a Monopoly Bavaria family tournament on Friday, a “Long Night of Play” on Saturday (when the fair runs until 11 pm) and a family tournament of “Zooloretto” - 2007’s Game of the Year - on Sunday. Don’t sweat it if you don’t know game rules because more than 50 game freaks will be on hand to walk you through all of it. A new exhibition section this year focuses on climate, ecology and environmental games. To match the expanded offerings, hours also were extended this year: Friday,10 am to 8 pm; Saturday, 10 am to 11 pm; and Sunday, 10 am to 6 pm. Friday is “Family Day” and entry is just € 5. On Saturday and Sunday, entry is € 8 for adults, € 5.50 for kids under 12 and children under 4 are free. The best deal: a family ticket for € 20.50 covers two adults and three children under 12. www.spielwiesn.de <<<
