Cirque du Soleil

More than 10 million people will see a Cirque du Soleil performance in 2007. Munich residents get their chance on October 19 and 20, when “Delirium” comes to the Olympiahalle, where there will be three shows. It is a state-of-the-art mix of music, dance, theater and multimedia performance. What started as the work of a few street performers near Quebec City, Canada, has blossomed into a worldwide entertainment brand with 4,000 employees, six shows touring the globe and ten in other theaters. Long-time fans will recognize remixed music from Cirque classics (but now with added lyrics!), while newcomers will see a whimsical mix of singers, dancers and acrobats. Shows at 8 pm on Oct. 19, 3 pm and 8 pm on October 20. Buy tickets before they’re sold out: www.muenchenticket.de

Dinner and a Show

A combination of performance art, circus and culinary excursion, the Witzigmann & Roncalli Bajazzo will run from October 10 to March 2 at Munich’s Spiegelpalast, this year at the Frankfurter Ring 143. Star chef Eckart Witzigmann and Roncalli director Bernhard Paul have served up a Bajazzo featuring acrobats, magicians, jugglers and a comedy review paired with a four-course meal that tops last year’s event.
