The Bar at Buena Vista
They may be the “Grandparents of Cuban Music,” but Guillermo Rubalcabal, Siomara Valdes, and the other members of “Los abuelos del son” play tunes to make even the youngest pop tart shake her hips. The Cuban musicians have been traveling the world since their breakout success in Wim Wender’s film Buena Vista Social Club in 1999. They will perform their Afro-Cuban rhythms in the laid-back “Bar at Buena Vista” at Prinzregententheater on March 5–10 at 8 pm. On March 11, there will be a matinée show at 11 am. Tickets for the performance are on sale for € 39.10–55.90.
