Science in the City

The sixth annual Munich Science Days will take place from October 21–24 in Ludwig-Maximilian University and other locations nearby. Local academics have created a program packed with unique science-themed experiences. The Munich airport, the new BioTech Center in Martinsried and other locales will be open to public tours. Lectures and children’s programs will be offered in German, but the most impressive instructive offerings are suitable for speakers of any language. At the Marketplace of Science and Technology, visitors can explore presentations on a huge array of cutting-edge topics such as data transfer through skin, nano-science and computer linguistics. Pictures of scientific subjects and modern art created through digital means will also be on display. See www.muenchner-wissenschaftstage.de for a complete list of the various offerings, locations and entry times for each.
